Cheer & Dance Uniform Number & Logo Placement Guidelines

The USA Federation for Sport Cheering (USA Cheer) was established in 2007 to serve as the national governing body for all types of cheerleading in the United States, including club cheering and traditional school-based cheer programs. The organization collaborates with the NFHS (National Federation of State High School Associations) at the school level and NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) at the college level to write the uniform rules for cheerleading activities in the country. We provide the guidelines for numbering, logos, and other decoration placements according to the official rules to help you personalize the cheerleading outfits and dance uniforms for your team in the most authentic way.

  1. An American flag no larger than 2”x3” should be positioned at the top left of the dress.
  2. A single manufacturer's trademark or logo may not exceed 2-1/4 square inches and should be displayed at either sides at the top/dress-front.
  3. The team name must be on centre-front of the top of dress.
